It is unfair because usually there is a base to an assumption. In this case there may be a handful of people who are criminals and create violence but say they are from a certain religion or caste then the entire religion or caste is “needed” to be violent and they all have to be a criminal in the eyes of the people who make such assumptions. Many times people go further and put an entire country in a certain category. This form of “categorisation” is also known as a stereotype. A stereotype is something that may not necessarily be true but yet is a judgement of a person that is based on their colour, caste, country, religion and more if the stereotype is more personal and for only a particular person then their style, colour, how they look how they dress up etc. these stereotypes create a judgemental and non accepting environment.
