sometimes when we stepped on something sharp we move our foot away immediately but only feel the pain later what is the reason for this

we remove our foot immediately due to reflex action but we the pain a little later because it is a response from the brain that we got hurt so we feel the pain it takes time to give this message but reflex action is an involuntary action.
