Let's say Somya has 40 chocolates
We took 40, because it is devisible by both 5 and 8, so that we can calculate easily.
He gave 2/5th of his chocolates to his friends
Then number of chocolates he gave to his friends will be: 40×(2/5) = 80/5
= 16
He gave these to his 8 friends.
So each will get: 16/8 = 2 chocolates
Now to calculate the fraction of total chocolate
Fraction = 2/40
= 1/20
So each friend will get 1/20th of his chocolates.
