marks \: obtained = \frac{80 \times 500}{100} = 80 \times 5 = 400

Thus, Sona initially got to marks out of 500.

Similarly for 90% she must have scored,

 \frac{90 \times 500}{100} = 90 \times 5 = 450marks

Hence, the difference in marks is 50.

Thus, Sona needed more 50 marks to secure 90%.

Answer:

50 more marks

Step-by-step explanation:

Given 80% of 500 = (80/100) x 500 = 400

90% of 500 = 450

Difference is 450 - 400 = 50

Thus 50 more marks are required to score 90%
