SOLUTION

GIVEN

  • Sonam borrowed ₹2200 from Meena at the rate of 7% p.a for 5 years.

  • At the end of five years,sonam returned ₹2100 and a hand Mixie .

TO DETERMINE

The price of the Hand Mixie.

EVALUATION

Here it is given that Sonam borrowed ₹2200 from Meena at the rate of 7% p.a for 5 years.

Principal = P = ₹ 2200

Time = T = 5 years

Rate of interest = 7%

∴ Interest

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{PRT}{100} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{2200 \times 5 \times 7}{100} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  22 \times 5 \times 7}

 = 770

So after 5 years Sonam has to pay

= ₹ ( 2200 + 770 )

= ₹ 2970

Now sonam returned ₹2100 and a hand Mixie

∴ The price of hand mixie

= ₹ ( 2970 - 2100 )

= ₹ 870
