Sonam wants to make a disc to play. she cuts a circle of diameter 10cm from a circular plastic sheet of diameter 14cm. find the area of disc and also find the area of the remaining plastic sheet.

area of sheet=πr^2
$\frac{22}{7} \times 7 ^{2}$
22/7×49
=22×7
=154cm^2
are of disc=πr^2
=3.14×5^2 (d=10 of disc
r=5)
(π=3.14 and π=22/7)
3.14×25=78.5
area of disc=78.5
area of remaining part=
=154-78.5=
=75.5cm^2
