Sonia goes 20 km towards east from point A to point B. From B, she moves 30 km towards west along the same
road. If the distance towards east is represented by positive integer then, how will you represent the distance

Answer:

If the distance towards east is represented by positive integer then the distance  travelled towards west would be represented by a negative integer.

So, her final position from A would be -10 km.

Hope this helps.....

Answer:

Rita moves to 20km east A to B and she moves 30 km to west so she move 10km towards west

Step-by-step explanation:

A is the initial point,

It can be taken as 0

Rita moves towards east 20 km

It can be taken as +20

Rita moves towards west 30 km

It can be taken as -30

Distance between initial point and final point = 10 km towards west

It can be taken as -10
