Sonometer has soft iron wire and a set of eight tuning forks, ½ kg hanger, seven ½ kg slotted weights, clamp, stand, rubber pad, paper rider and metre scale.

Alternating Current have frequency so that frequency of magnetisation of the electromagnet becomes 2v.

Loaded Stretched soft iron wire has resonant length l1 with the electromagnet.

Tuning Fork of frequency (VT) has a length l2.
