Solution:

Let the present age of Asha be x

We are given that Sonu is 22 years older to Asha

So, Sonu's age = x+22

Asha' age after 20 years = x+20

Sonu's age after 20 years = x+22+20=x+42

We are given that he will be twice her age

x+42=2(x+20)

x+42=2x+40

2=x

Asha's present age = 2 years

Sonu's age = x+22 = 2+22=24 years

Hence Asha's present age is 2 years and Sonu's age is 24 years
