consider the following reaction 2FeSO4 ( s ) gives Fe2O3 ( s) + SO2 ( g ) + SO3 ( g) Is it a redox reaction or not ? if yes , why ?

Redox reaction is a reaction which involves gain of hydrogen and loss of oxygen. Therefore 2feso4----->fe2o3+so2+so3 is not a redox reaction because there is no reducing agent (A substance which gives hydrogen or gains oxygen).
