9) During photosynthesis, the plants produce their food as glucose which is stored in the form of starch. This starch is transported in the form of a sucrose solution through phloem upwards and downwards to all parts of the plant including its roots. This is called translocation of food in plants.

Phloem tissue is responsible for translocation.

10) The process by which a machine is used to filter and clean the blood artificially is known as dialysis.

It is done because this helps keep our fluids and electrolytes in balance when the kidneys can't do their job.
