Given: Cost of 1st almirah = 4800₹

Cost of 2nd almirah = 3640₹

Gain on 1st almirah = 13℅

Loss on 2nd almirah = 15℅

To Find: Gain/Loss on whole deal

Step 1:

Selling Price of 1st almirah = 1.13×4800 = 5424 ₹

Selling Price of 2nd almirah = 0.75×3640 = 2730 ₹

Step 2:

Total Cost Price= 4800+3640 = 8440₹

Total Selling Price= 5424+2730 = 8154₹

Step 3:

C.P>S.P

Loss = 8440-8154

Loss = 286₹

℅ Loss =(286/8440)×100 = 3.38℅

Hence, Loss on whole transaction is 286₹

and ℅ loss is 3.38%
