sound cannot travel in vacuum. describe an experiment to demonstrate this.

keep a phone inside a box then first ring we can hear the sound then remove air by vaccum pump then again ring it we cannot hear the sound because there is no air so we can concludesound cannot travel in vacuum.

the velocity of sound is greater in solid after that it is in liquid and then gas, this can tell us that the more denser medium, the more is the velocity of sound, and if there is no density like in vacuum so the velocity will be zero
