sounds differ in the following ways-
1)amplitude - louder sound corresponds to the wave of larger amplitude and soft sounds corresponds to the wave of small amplitude
2)frequency- two notes sounded on the same instrument with same amplitude with differ in pitch (shrill or grave sound)when their vibrations are of different frequencies.
3)wave form - the wave form of two sounds of same frequency and same amplitude but emitted by two different sources produce different sensation because they differ in wave form.
