Sound,like heat and light,is a form of energy.It is a natural phenomenon that is produced by vibrational motion of object.

EXAMPLE:

AIM: To demonstrate production of sound by vibrating objects.

MATERIAL REQUIRED: rubber band,nails (two),wooden plank.

PROCEDURE: Fix the nails a little distance apart from each other on the wooden plank. Take the rubber band and tie both ends to the nails.Now,pluck the rubber band in the middle and release it.The rubber band starts vibrating and you can hear a humming sound.The sound stops as soon as the rubber band stops vibrating.
