sound takes 3s to reach a certain distance from the source placed in air . how much time will it take to reach the same distance when the source is in water .take speed of sound in air 330m/s and in water as 1650m/s

t1/t2  = speed1 / speed 2

Explanation:

we know

distance = speed x time = 330 x 3 = 990m

in water speed becomes 1650 but distance is same

therefore

time = distance / speed

time = 990 / 1650 = 99 / 165

time = 33 / 55 =  3/5sec

  or 0.6 second
