Not only just in iron . But if we talk of any metal sound travels faster in it .
Reason :
Iron atoms are set up up more densely as compared to that of air .
The closer together the molecules are, the faster it passes the sound to each other .
Metal is much more tightly packed than air so it will travel faster in Metal.
