velocity of sound depend upon frequency of wave and wavelength .
e.g
velocity =frequency x wavelength
you can see velocity is directly proportional to frequency of wave . it means if any wave frequency is large then velocity also large .
==============================
now ,
in question first wave frequency is 3000Hz and 2nd wave 4000Hz .we see frequency of 2nd is greater then 1st so , velocity of 2nd is greater then 1st.
which is given , hence answer is correct .
