Sound waves of wave length travel from a medium in which it's velocity is v m/s into another medium in which if the velocity is 3v m/s.what is the wave length of the sound in the second medium?

We know that velocity α wavelength
v₁/v₂=λ₁/λ₂
v₁=velocity in first medium
v₂=velocity in second medium
λ₁=wavelength in first medium
λ₂=wavelength in second medium
given that v₁=3v₂
v/3v=λ/λ₂
λ₂=3λ
So,the wavelength in the second medium is 3 times the wavelength in the first medium
