Given : wave length (λ) = 0.5 cm or 5 x 10⁻³ m

            velocity (v) = 340 m/s

            frequency (υ) = ?

we have the relation :

      v =  λ x υ

340 m/s = 5 x 10⁻³ m x υ

⇒  υ = (340 m/s) / (5 x  10⁻³ m)

   ∴ υ = 68000 Hz.

The frequency of sound waves is 68000 Hertz .

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU !!   : )
