It is given in the question that the southern part of India is in tropical region. yes it is  true. We know that from both the tropics up-to 35 degrees the region is called subtropical region, As the northernmost point is 37 deg 6 min N, major portion of northern part lies in sub tropical region, there fore the north India lies in sub tropical region.

South India : Tropical Zone

North India : Sub-Tropical Zone.

Northern Part of India lies in Sub-Tropical Zone.

  • The southern part of India is in tropical region as we know that between Tropic of cancer (23 deg 30 min N) & Tropic of Capricorn .

  • This region between them is called Tropical Zone.

  • The major portion of North lies in subtropical Zone as our northmost point 37 degree 6 minute North.
