South India is important because it  consists of the five southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu as well as the union territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar.

In those 5 important states the important languages are Kannada, Tamil , Malayalam, Telugu and Urdu .
