SW monsoon brings much rain on western coast then eastern coast because of the direction of the SW wind, also it is the 1st land mass which comes in contact after the SW monsoon reaches land from sea which are laden with heavy moisture clouds. Also SW monsoon Hits the western coast almost in a perpendicular direction.
