"Spacecraft does not travel in a straight line and the time required for the trip is longer than the time required to simply travel in a straight distance.

Momentum = (mass) x (velocity)

In the same direction as the velocity

Spaceship-1 Momentum = (200) x (0) = 0 kg-m/sec, in some direction.

Spaceship-2 Momentum = (200) x (6) = 1200 kg-m/sec, in the same direction.

Combined momentum = 1200 kg-m/sec, in their common direction.
