Rajya Sabha :-

Rajya Sabha plays an important role in proper functioning of government . the members are nominated by the nominated people of Lok Sabha .

Althought, Rajya Sabha is less powerful than Loksabha but it contains some special powers .

Special power of Rajya Sabha are :-

• The approval of Rajya Sabha is necessary in case of creating one or more all India service common to the union as well as the states .
• No laws on any subject of the state list can be made by the Lok Sabha without two- third majority of Rajya Sabha .
• Rajya Sabha enjoys equal power with the Lok Sabha in matter like a amendment of Constitution .
• Rajya Sabha plays an important role in implement of President , Vice President and Judges of Supreme Court & High Court .
• Emergency by president is passed by Rajya Sabha if the Lok Sabha is not in session .
