jammu has been given the special status because if its rich culture growth in agriculture and beautiful valleys. but because of the wars by Pakistan it is loosing its status. it is also possible that by next 2-3 years it loose its special status completely.

ARTICLE 730 SEPARATE THE LAWS OF OTHER STATES OF INDIA WITH JAMMU AND KASHMIR.IT HAS BEEN GIVEN SPECIAL CONSTITUTION BECAUSE PEOPLE THERE WANT TO LIVE FREELY WITH THEIR OWN LAWS AND NOT WIH THE LAWS OF INDIA OR PAKISTAN.
