Heat Capacity = The amount of energy required to raise the temperature of the substance by 1 degree Celsius.
Specific Heat Capacity = The amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1kg of the substance by 1 degree Celsius.
There is a subtle difference between the 2 statements!!
So for me, it is the mass of the body if you just talking heat capacity!!
