Today has dawned on me that 'Teachers are Indispensable' Indeed they are. I can attest this statement from the first time I started school long ago, that is close to 9 years. As we all know Teachers have been employed to impart knowledge onto us since everyone here knows the value and power of knowledge.
I thank our parents here whom I am pretty sure were our first teachers before we started the formal school system. They took the role of raising us before they handed us to the Teachers in school who have also played the role of helping us acquire knowledge and competence. Teachers indeed are transformers and should be respected and perhaps paid good salaries and great tokens of appreciation.
Thanks be to all teachers around the globe as they try to show us the path to educational success.

Good morning everyone present here. I feel immensely proud to have got the opportunity to say a few words on teachers are indispensable. Behind every man or woman’s success is always a teacher. Teachers are like light houses that guide the ship of students to the shores of life. They are like the doctors treating the disorders of ignorance. They are the magicians who make the miracles of knowledge happen. This world would be a much darker and hostile place to live in if there were no teachers. Only a teacher can transform students’ life. He/she has the brain as well as the heart that can work many times faster than the processors of a machine. He has the values such as compassion, understanding, empathy, commitment, dedication, love, and sympathy for his students that no sophisticated machine can ever have.
This life is a very complex phenomenon. Clouds of questions, mysteries, conflicts, doubts, uncertainties, and difficulties are always overcast. Teachers like the radiant sun dispel those clouds. They answer our questions; they solve mysteries of life; they resolve our conflicts; they clear our doubts; and turn our uncertainties into certainties.
I would like to cite here the example of Miss Sullivan, the wondrous teacher of Helen Keller. After Helen Keller was left deprived of seeing, hearing, and speaking abilities her world was filled with darkness and sadness. It was her teacher, Miss Sullivan who filled her world with light. She taught him how to read, write, and stood with her through the challenges of life. Finally Helen Keller achieved staggering success. This would have not been possible without Miss Sullivan. There are many similar inspiring examples that tell us the life-transforming contribution of teachers in our life.
We are also so lucky to have such wonderful and dedicated teachers in our life as our mentors. So we should be thankful to life that has given us such knowledgeable teachers in our life.
