Good morning /afternoon/evening, teachers and students allow me today to make a speech on the importance of games and sports in Students’ Life. Sports are physical activities that require skill for personalities to undertake alone or as a team competing with one another for fun, development or for income.
Games and Sports help the students in keeping the body in shape. Taking part in sporting activities ensures that the heart and other organs of the body operate well and that body is well looked after. Sports can be played as an individual or it can be as a group of people. They need skill, talent and stamina for player to perform to the expected capacity. Common sporting activities at school include ball games like football, soccer, netball, volleyball, cricket, tennis, and hockey. In these sporting disciplines, participating students come together into a team of a set number to play the sport.
Sports activities like boxing, athletics, tennis, golf can be considered as individual sporting disciplines as the individuals generally compete as alone not in a team. Some of these, however, can incorporate some team elements such as relay race in athletics and the doubles match in tennis. Sports are very important for entertainment; popular sports like soccer or football have so many followers or fans.
Sportspersons depending on their skill and level of competence may be playing at a certain level that pays well and sustains their lives. Playing at top levels of the game has great rewards both monetary, health-wise and in building networks. Some good sports personalities are doing well and earning far beyond what some professionals earn. Students can be played remarkably well with a total appreciation of others bringing participating students together as a uniting force groups of people or nations.
Teacher and students, to conclude my speech allow me to say that sport is not only a great way to unite diverse groups of people, but they are also a great source of inspiration and entertainment.
