People who overcome these challenges are no different than the challenges you face at work, in relationships or in completing goals and realizing your dreams. If you surrender your dreams to the limitations you place on yourself, you'll never be able to reach your full potential.

Perceived limitations can be as challenging as trying to complete the Rubik’s cube blindfolded.

There are people who have achieved this and further are doing more such seemingly impossible tasks and achieving higher levels of excellence every day. This proves that the mind and body can exceed limits far past our expectations.

I strongly believe that we all have that power within us. An obstacle may seem insurmountable, that’s when you have to ask yourself if you can overcome it and challenge yourself to figure out how you can do it.

People who overcome these challenges are no different than the challenges you face at work, in relationships or in completing goals and realizing your dreams. If you surrender your dreams to the limitations you place on yourself, you’ll never be able to reach your full potential. There’s nothing deep or mystical in lifting the limitations in your life — it just takes persistence and continuous results.

The first thing to do is to challenge these limitations you place on yourself by listing what you want to accomplish and then thinking about what you have to do to get there.

Dream big, is one of the most frequently heard proverb, but how many of us actually do something to achieve this dream? We end up just sticking to things we know which are in our comfort zone.

The difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary is just one step that gets us out of our comfort safe zone and into the risk ‘anything-can-happen’ zone.

It’s these challenges that will spur you on to even greater things. Your challenges and dreams may change along with time because of a change in mindset, injuries or life-altering situations, but it is important to never lose focus on the finish line you set for yourself.

After you figure out how you can challenge the limitations you set for yourself, it’s time to prepare for the race. You won’t climb Mt. Everest without preparing and equipping yourself for months (or years) ahead of the challenges you’ll face there right?

Just like that, prepare for your own journey through extensive training, gathering knowledge, getting your body and mind in shape for the challenge and anything else you can do to make sure you’ll be successful. A healthy balance between your body and mind is very important to overcome any challenges seamlessly.

First, you need to have a strategy that you can adjust from time to time as you adapt and grow your knowledge base but eventually you’ll be on your way to the success you envisioned. Next, you’ll have to put your plan into motion. This could be a difficult time for some because of procrastination and being afraid of failure. After all, you’ve been thinking and preparing for the race — and now you have to make it happen. But it’s far worse to hold back and do nothing than to fail because you didn’t even try.

Last, you need to believe in yourself. As cliche as it sounds, this phrase is the only solution for all your obstacles. Be fully aware of your own potential and always believe that you can achieve anything you put your mind into. You are the only obstacle in your way of achieving greatness and you should never let self-doubt keep you in a box.

I feel all of us should try to think like a child when we try to achieve our goals. As odd as it sounds, but children boldly believe they can do anything, like climb the highest tree or venture out just about anywhere (well, thank god adults are there to hold them back). But like kids, believe that you can truly do anything and this belief in yourself will help you move mountains.

You may have limited yourself in your thinking process or perhaps others may have made you think you can’t do it, but if you trust yourself and give all you have, even if you fail it would still be an achievement. You can — and you will — cross the finish line of success when you challenge those perceived limitations you’ve set for yourself.

Never accept any thought or suggestion that limits your ability to achieve everything you can dream of to have the kind of life you crave and desire. Get busy and begin to challenge those false beliefs!
