Playing sports and games is not only about seeing a gold medal in your hand but, it is of a lot of significance as well.
Sports and games are very imp. as, they help in dealing with day to day life situations easily. It helps us get used to the ups and downs in life easily. Sports and games help in the building up of sportsman spirit. It also helps us prepare for an assesment, be it of sports or life, and it helps us accept defeats gracefully.
It helps us know the strength of unity and team spirit and for example, when there is a competition between two countries, the people participating, don't play as individuals but as a family...
It also helps improve the IQ levels. Eg: playing chess needs concentration and it increases your ability to think and use you brain.
Just like there are assesments for physics and maths, there should be assesments for sports and games as well and the same importance should be given to them.
