                                            Children’s Day Speech

Good morning everyone present. I feel immensely privileged to have got the opportunity to express my views on ‘Children’ on this auspicious day of Children’s Day. First of all let me wish you all a very HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY.

All of us know this day is Pandit Jwahar Lal Nehru’s birth anniversary. He loved children and this day began to be celebrated as Children’s Day. I feel the purpose of celebrating this day is to make children happy. Children can be truly made happy by providing them agreeable and salubrious environment. Unfortunately, there are millions and millions of children in our country who are living in abject impoverished conditions. They are forced to do child labour; deprived of basic education and health facilities. Can we really celebrate children’s day until we succeed in making all those children happy by providing them a truly healthy and happy environment?

I strongly feel all of us do our best to provide basic education, health care facilities, sports and games. The Government and the fortunate people must join hands to make the children of our nation truly happy by providing enough educational and health facilities to them. Our children are the future of nation. Let’s make that future bright. Only then we will be celebrating TRUE CHILDREN’S DAY.

Good Morning. It is mid-November again – a very special occasion for us. 14 November is Children’s Day. We Indians celebrate the birthday of the country’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru today. His fondness for children and his deep bonding with them is legendary. Celebrating children in schools and educational institutions, at homes, and in families is our way of honoring Chacha Nehru and his vision for the nation which rests solidly on the shoulders of our young ones. It is through the enthusiasm and aspirations of the children of our country can we manage to achieve the glory that Indian society deserves.

Let us, however, also remember the great responsibility that is ours – to work towards a better society, a better India. Jai Hind.

Hope it helps you!!!!!!
