Constitution is a set of rules and laws according to which country is governed. Constitution Day in India is celebrated on 26th of November in India. Dr. B.R Ambedkar is the chairman and father of constitution of India. The constitution day of India was adopted on 26 November 1949.  We celebrate constitution day because People in India remember their history and celebrate independence and peace every year after launching the own constitution of India. The constitution day of India was adopted on 26 November 1949.  A Draft Constitution was submitted to the Assembly on November 4, 1947. This was debated for over two years, and more than 2000 amendments were moved. All the hard work culminated in the adopting of the Constitution on November 26, 1949. The constitution defines as the form of the government that is wheather it is monarchy or a democracy etc.  The introduction to the constitution is called preamble. It is a unique feature of Indian constitution. It deals with the aims, objectives and the ideals of constitution.

It is also known as National Law Day or Samvidhan Divas.

To commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, India celebrates Constitution Day on November 26.

The day was announced as the Constitution Day November 19, 2015 by the Government of India. The announcement came while laying the foundation stone of the B. R. Ambedkar’s Statue of Equality memorial in Mumbai. The year 2015 also celebrated the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar. According to the government notification, Constitution Day was also a tribute to Ambedkar.
