Game of Cricket - a short speech

I like the game of cricket.   I played cricket a lot in my childhood and am still playing.  My friends were very interested too.  I like the game when it is going good, when the players are playing seriously and displaying their full talent.  Cricket is called a gentleman's game but now it has become a skillful, daring, wise, fast and athletic man's game.  It is not easy to perform very well at the national and international levels.

Cricket originated from United Kingdom, but now cricket has made Asian subcontinent as the biggest base.    Cricket is played mainly in commonwealth countries.  But some other countries also started playing it.  Cricket has now given employment to thousands of people and is giving entertainment to lakhs of people around the world.  Cricket has become a career for many sports persons.  Use of latest technologies and speed has made cricket more interesting than  the traditional a dull and slow game.

I watch the cricket played by the international and national players.  I like the one day matches and the twenty-twenty formats.  But they are sometimes too nerve breaking.  When excitement reaches the pinnacle, it is difficult to bear.  I like it when Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli play the ball very well.  I used to like the good strokes that Sachin Tendulkar played a few years ago. I like the powerful helicopter shot of Dhoni.

What I like more is the good bowling when the bowlers bowl inswingers and outswingers.  It looks so magical that the ball curves it way due to physics and pressure.  It becomes boring often when the batsmen play too much of dot balls.

Sometimes the good fielding attempts by the fieldsmen pulls our attention back on to the game.  The diving catches and diving stops at the rope are quite interesting and awesome to watch.  I can not dive so well.  But it is ok.

I like many other games and play them too whenever I get a chance to.
I keep cricket, my studies and my responsibilities all in their places.

Answer:

Speech on Cricket

Explanation:

Cricket is  a Gentleman's game and it is originated from United Kingdom, but now cricket has made Asian subcontinent as the biggest base.    Cricket is played mainly in commonwealth countries.  But some other countries also started playing it.  Cricket has now given employment to thousands of people and is giving entertainment to lakhs of people around the world.  Cricket has become a career for many sports persons.

I like it when Virat Kohli, Dhoni, K.L.Rahul play the ball well. I like the Helicopter shot of Dhoni and admire him as my Master. I watch the cricket played by the international and national players.  I like the one day matches and the twenty-twenty formats.  But they are sometimes nerve breaking. I also like the good bowling by the bowlers, like when they bowl in-swingers and out-swingers and I also like the death overs because that's when we sit in the edge of our seat.

With new players coming up from different parts of the country, Cricket is just reaching next level. I also like the fielding efforts the good players do. It sometimes frustrates us when we see the batsmen play a lot of dot balls and when the bowler bowls a lot of extras.

I like other games too and play them whenever I can. I just want to say that whatever you do, do it with passion, may it be sports or studies.
