Answer:
Defence Day is celebrated in Pakistan as national day to commemorate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its borders. The date of 6 September marks the day in 1965 when Indian troops crossed the international border to launch an attack on Pakistani Punjab, in a riposte to Pakistan's Operation Grand Slam targeting Jammu. While it is officially commemorated as an unprovoked surprise attack by India, which was repulsed by the Pakistan Army despite its smaller size and fewer armaments, this narrative has been criticised by Pakistani commentators as representing false history.
The Pakistan Army displays its latest missiles, tanks, guns, Pakistan Army Aviation helicopters and armament being used by Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Corps, Army Air Defense, Signals, Army Service Corps and the Army Medical Corps.[15] Everyone is allowed to watch such functions live by going to specific places. These shows are also displayed on national TV channels. National songs, special documentaries about 6 September 1965 and the stories of the people who were martyred on that day are displayed on TV. The facts are told of how people sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country and what the responsibility is of the younger generation, the children, who are the future of Pakistan.

- First of all, I would like to thank our host for inviting me to the stage. I will begin my speech by describing to you the pains and sacrifices to achieve this country “Pakistan”. When the British took over in 1857, Muslims were the victim of British cruelty. In such times, leaders like Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Liaqat Ali Khan, and Chaudhary Rehmat Ali worked hard days and nights to get us a separate homeland for our welfare. 6 September is one of the biggest days for Pakistanis as it shows our military achievement.
- Finally, Pakistan became stable after early sacrifices. But Kashmir was taken away from us. We started to develop schemes to get Kashmir. India attacked Pakistan at 3 am without any declaration or warning. Pakistanis were shocked. It was the time to defend the country. Our soldiers did not bow down to the shock and replied to them in a befitting manner. We destroyed their tanks, check posts, and aircraft. M. M. shot down 5 Indian hunter aircraft with F-86 which is still a record. All the efforts and misadventures of the Indian army gave them nothing in the end. Indian destroyed tanks are still in a Pakistani Museum today. Pakistanis visit them and take pride that our army did not let any of them damage our cities.
- Respected audience, it is due to our soldiers’ blood that we can celebrate defence day today. Our army has not only protected us from enemies but also saved us many times during flood or earthquake situations. Our army has been defending us and our homeland for decades. Their blood is the foundation of our freedom...
