Discipline is the process of training oneself in obedience , self control and skill. Discipline is the basis of the whole universe. Aristotle has rightly said "discipline is the obedience to the rules framed by the society for the good of all. Discipline should be inculcated in children from a young age. After all talent and brains alone are not enough to achieve success, discipline has an equally important role to play.The importance of discipline in educational institutions has been well recognized. The schools and colleges should be equipped with a calm and peaceful atmosphere so as to enable the students to learn as much as they can. Though I should say there must be a proper balance between discipline and freedom of the student, nowadays discipline is the most needed  thing in schools. Unfortunately there has been a declination of discipline among students in many of the learning institutes. This problem must be solved as soon as possible and we students have take the initiative. Just as discipline enables a country to progress, similarly discipline gives a person the power to progress and develop.

A very pleasant good Morning respected Principal mam worthy teachers, seniors and my dear friends. Today I, shreya of class 9th A, present here to deliver a short speech on the topic “ Discipline”.

Well, we all are aware of this word discipline. Let's know more about it and its importance in our life.

To be guided by rules, to pay due regard to elders and superior officers, to obey them and to behave in an orderly manner, all these come under the term discipline.

Discipline is necessary in all walks of life. Whether at school or at home, in the office or in the factory, in the playground or in the battlefield, discipline is a necessity.

Discipline is a good thing and there is no evil in it. It builds character, develops strength and unity and fosters co-operation.

It is, therefore necessary that everyone should be taught discipline from their childhood. It should never be overlooked, as it is the secret of success in life.
