ISLAMABAD, June 13: Blood donation is a noble cause as it helps save precious human lives but the people should be made aware and motivated to voluntarily donate blood because mostly they hesitate in this regard and this mindset needs to be corrected.
It was stated by Federal Minister for Capital Administration & Development Division (CADD) Nazar M. Gondal while addressing a seminar held at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) in connection with World Blood Donor Day on Wednesday.
Mr. Gondal said that it was PPP’s visionary step to encourage its workers across the country to pay tributes to their leader Benazir Bhutto by donating blood at her death anniversary.
“We believe that there could be no better way to pay homage to the great leader. I urge the youth to donate blood and work voluntarily for increasing awareness among the people regarding blood donation. Awareness campaigns and seminars/workshop must be held at universities and colleges for an enhanced participation of the young students”, said the minister.
