Speech on E-generation

Respected Principal and Teachers and My Dear Friends

  • First of all I would like to thank all of you for giving me this opportunity to present my ideas about the E-generation or we can say "today's young generation".
  • Today's young generation has strong qualities and certain shortcomings. Each generation has a variety of understandings and feelings that have not the previous generations, which makes one still have to give them the benefit of doubt. They also have some unethical feelings and poor behavioral attributes that must be eliminated.  These features cannot be removed without taking into consideration and respecting the good qualities which young people possess–meaning their understandings, emotions and other noble features and qualities–so that we must respect them in that regard.
  • Life doesn't have dead end. The people's thoughts and minds in previous generations were not so transparent as today's generation. Such feelings and positive values have not been present in people of the past and so we need to value the admirable qualities of young people.
  • Our generation is the age of iPods, cellular phones and Twitter, which is technologically-speaking. And our voices are heard: emails, tweets and forums. We hope that those throughout the world can hear the voices. And more importantly, our communication methods are eternal because they are preserved on the Internet somewhere. They never go anywhere. They never go anywhere. The thoughts and words remain forever with the Internet and books. Digital apps have improved the capacity of our generation to keep in touch with guardians and family members. Yet I think technology has made my generation's words seem seemingly useless in most cases.
  • Although our generation has lost control over our words spoken and written in spite of the enormous power we have to live our words forever. We're not thinking about what we say or the effect our words are going to have. Via type-text, feelings and emotions are not apparent and therefore our meanings are misunderstood. Our generation can be lost in translation due to this indulgence in technology. The words have lost their strength, yet they are still alive. All of this can change if we only take the time to review our posts and text before sending it. Careful what we write or just speaking to people face to face helps to resolve the problems. If we do not abuse the technology we have, and talk with power, our words would be more meaningful.
