Explanation:
Good morning, Excellencies, my esteemed professors, and good friends. My lecture will be about the environment. The environment refers to the physical surroundings in which we live. It is the source of all living things. Our entire existence is reliant on the environment. It guides our lives and determines our correct development and growth. The quality of our natural surroundings determines whether we have a good or bad social life. Humans' need for food, water, shelter, and other necessities is influenced by the environment in which we live. There is a natural equilibrium between the environment and the existence of humans, plants, and animals. Human society is contributing significantly to the degradation of the natural environment, which has a detrimental impact on the lives of those who dwell on this planet.
All of these efforts have resulted in a significant change on this planet, resulting in a slew of environmental issues. In today's world, the increasing demand for technologies and industries has an impact on the environment. The rising invention of new technologies has altered people's interactions with the environment, allowing for higher population growth. Modern technologies have enormous power, and they have affected the entire environment in unimaginable ways. The root of the ecological catastrophe is indiscriminate environmental use. Such rapid technological advancements and changes in human behavior are both extremely dangerous. Such incredible innovations propelled economic progress in the twentieth century but also had a significant impact on natural resources.
Rapid population growth, deteriorating natural resources, diminishing forests and wetlands, erosion of soil and coral reefs, depleting underground water, regular shortages of fresh drinking water, vanishing plants, and salinization are some of the environmental issues in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Loss of biodiversity, rapid extinction of some major animal species, the collapse of fisheries, rising air and water pollution, rise in atmospheric temperature, depletion of the ozone layer, and pollution of rivers, seas, and subsurface resources are some of the other challenges.
We still need to adapt to the environment, despite the fact that science and technology have drastically altered the terms of adaptation to nature. Human society is intertwined with its surroundings. We must remember that the human being is first and foremost an animal, sharing space with other animal species in a shared habitat. It is our job to protect our environment and the world so that we can live a healthy and happy life here.
Thank you!
