ften wonder how failure shatters us and how much we panic even though we have an inherent quality to overcome the fear. Remember how we learnt walking and cycling? Falling several times while learning how to walk and peddle was common. But the sad part is from our childhood days we are made to believe that winners get the rewards and losers are jeered. Our scriptures and mythological tales also suggest that messengers of God had to fail before the ploys of the demons until truth came to light.

Failure should not be treated as the end of the road. Rather, it should be seen as a message, which will help us embark on a new journey and give us the courage to explore new routes to achieve our goals. It gives us strength to take in our stride the baggage that comes with failure - crisis, pressure and frustrations. Failure happens when our mind is directionless and lacks the will to perform. In such times, we lose faith in our self and fail to stay motivated.

But failure is a great teacher. It shows us how to tread the right path

It is an important experience during one's growing up years as it pushes one to perform. When one succeeds after failing first, it makes one humble, patient and hopeful. It teaches one to be resolute and calm.

People, who treat failure as a stepping stone to greater success, can never feel let down. The various situations we encounter in everyday life can either be used to our advantage or we may just let the opportunity slip through our fingers. It is a choice we make. Even the most horrific events in our life may help us grow. A person is called successful only if s/he knows how to walk with elan even after failing. Failure makes us think. We realize what people go through when they fail and how they cope to succeed later.
