Answer:

Fake news[a] is false or misleading information presented as news.[2][3][4] It often has the aim of damaging the reputation of a person or entity, or making money through advertising revenue.[5][6][7] However, the term does not have a fixed definition, and has been applied more broadly to include any type of false information, including unintentional and unconscious mechanisms, and also by high-profile individuals to apply to any news unfavourable to their personal perspectives

Answer:

Though Social media has become almost an inevitable part of our society now, we can’t always depend on it. The spreading of misinformation in social media is not new. Every day we read bunches of things online on social media, which may happen to be true, often is not. This false or misinformation leads to fake news i.e. consisted of fabricated stories, without any verifiable facts, sources, or quotes. Those stories are forged to influence reader’s own opinions or to deceive them.
