Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October to celebrate the birthday of Gandhiji. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an advocate as well as a freedom fighter who initiated the Quit India Movement to drive the British away from India. He taught the value of ahimsa or non-violence and led us the way to an independent India. He was coined as the "Father of the Nation" by Subhash Chandra Bose, our Netaji. Without his guidance and, motivation we would not have freed our nation from a century-old rule. Even though he passed away a long time ago, we will never forget the contributions, sacrifices, and lessons he had left for us.
