If I could change one thing about the world it would be............... :

'If I could 'change one thing' about the world', it would be people’s attitude towards the use of plastics. The world at large has come up with the hazards relating to the use of plastics. But, despite this, people still continue using it and discard them everywhere.

The plastic waste cannot be decomposed and stays on in the soil creating all sorts of health hazards. The small plastic pieces end up in landfills and the oceans, 'wreaking havoc on 'marine life'. Hundreds and thousands of marine lives choke to death due to the little bits of plastic that find their way into the ocean. I would like to bring about a total ban on plastics and erase it from the 'face of the Earth.'

Answer:

Here are many things that need to be changed about the world. Marks should not be underestimated. There should be education, housing, health care for all. There should be better treatment of animals. There should be more openness to ideas that conflict with ours. We must end global warming, crime, war, racism, terrorism, cancer, pollution, poverty, climate change, and more. Those are all the things that most people can change about the world but I want everyone to think a lot. Why are there so many problems in our world today? One word: human greed.

If I could change one thing about the world, I would end human greed. Human selfishness is the root of the great problems of our world. Greed is like a newborn seed that grows into a poisonous vine, eventually ruling over the human soul as a contagious disease that spreads to all parts of society. In the end, it blinds us to the truth.

We refuse to see the effects of pollution. Our greed has blinded us to this fact. Global warming is due to our greed. We were selfish and wanted more goods so we built many factories. We saw coal as a cheap and efficient energy source so our industries started using coal to create pollution. Pollution also causes global warming. The same goes for war. The leaders of the nations are greedy and demand more of their countries, and in that greed war breaks out. Instead of greed, we should all be kind and considerate. Wait, but is it not human nature to be greedy? Yes. We are all greedy and that is something that cannot be changed but the problem is that we all see greed as normal and beautiful when in fact, greed is a bad thing.

At school, I was bombarded with feelings of loneliness. Before I went to elementary school, I had a few friends and was generally happy, but after I went to school, I became isolated from my classmates. No one could hear me and wanted to talk to me. Why? Because I was inaccessible. I have never met people and talked to people. I knew I was inaccessible but I did not know how to be approachable. Do not say that I was greedy. I did not participate because I wanted to focus on my studies more. In my pursuit of higher grades, I lost all my friends and became depressed. In fact, I still struggle to fit in with the world today, but the only difference now is that I am no longer lonely. I am also convinced that many of us in the audience have been lonely before. We all know what it is like to be alone. Loneliness is like a fire extinguisher, and this is what we like to do. My selfishness and the desire for higher education diminished my fire, which was replaced by sadness. Do not let greed get you down.
