          “Respected Principal, teachers” and dear friends Good morning. Today I am here to speak a few words on importance of July 8th. Every year I celebrate this day because it is birthday of one of my favourite cricketers that is Sourav Ganguly.

         He is born in West Bengal and he was called as Dada which means elder brother. Presently, he is the president of the “Cricket Association of Bengal” and “President of the Editorial Board” with Wisden India. He is the ‘8th highest scorer’ in making runs in the (ODIs) one day internationals.

         He was awarded with highest civilian awards Padma Shri in 2004. He joined as a captain for the “Kolkata Knight Riders” team for ‘IPL Twenty 20’ cricket tournament in 2008.
