Staying active means keeping your body functioning at a high level. Regular exercise will maintain the performance of your lungs and heart to most efficiently burn off excess calories and keep your weight under control. Exercise will also improve muscle strength, increase joint flexibility and improve endurance.
Another main benefit of physical activity is that it decreases the risk of heart disease, the leading cause of death in America. Additionally, it can decrease your risk of stroke, colon cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure. Regular exercise has been long associated with a fewer visits to the doctor, hospitalization and medication.
Exercising does not have to be something boring and dreaded. It can be something that you enjoy that helps to increase the overall happiness in your life, as well as relieve symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety. Try to find some activities that give you pleasure, or even a buddy to do them with so that exercise is a fun and enjoyable activity (and one that you continue on a regular basis because it adds something good to your life).

Good morning everyone present; I am here to give a speech on ‘Benefits of Physical Fitness’.
Fitness is very important always. Nation that has fit people will be healthier and stronger than hat nation whose people are not fit. Fit body, fit mind, and fit environment depend on one another. Only people who are physically fit, can have fit mind; and only people with fit mind and fit body can live life optimally.
Life's luxuries can only be enjoyed only when one is healthy and fit. A diseased millionaire will not be able to enjoy half as much as healthy labourer. As life's delicacies can only be relished in pure health; not in abundant resources. Health is a great treasure. It is the highest blessing. It is the source of all happiness. Money can’t buy happiness. Happiness is priceless and not dependent upon the wealth of a person. Good health, however, contributes to the emotional well-being and happiness of a person. Even with limited income, a person with sound health can lead a happy and enjoyable
Fitness does not come easily; one has to work very hard to keep one’s body and mind fit. In order to keep body fit, one has to take care of one’s workout and nutrition. In order to keep mind fit, one has to keep mind filled with positive and optimistic thoughts.
People who are fit physically and mentally know how crucial to live in a fit environment. Only strong and fit people can keep the environment fit as it is quite a challenging task.
So, in conclusion it can be said that in order to remain fit, one has to work on the three aspects – body, mind, and environment. And all of us have to play our roles to keep the three things fit.
