We should thank our mothers for being the constant support and guide for what we are today. Let us make this day memorable for the love of life, the Mother. With this, I would like to take an opportunity to thank my mother for everything she has ever done for me. Also, much thanks to you, to everybody present here.

Mother's Day was first celebrated in the US, in 1908 when a woman named Anna Jarvis wished to commemorate Mother's Day as a recognised holiday to honour her mother, Ann Reese Jarvis who was a peace activist and had passed away three years prior.
