Student responsibility occurs when students take an active role in their learning by recognizing they are accountable for their academic success. Student responsibility is demonstrated when students make choices and take actions which lead them toward their educational goals.
Responsible students take ownership of their actions by exhibiting the following behaviors. They:
demonstrate academic integrity and honesty.
attend and participate in classes, labs, and seminars, prepared and on time.
complete the assigned work in a timely manner with attention to quality of work.
avoid making excuses for their behavior.
communicate in a careful and respectful manner with professors, peers, and other members of the college community.
are engaged learners who dedicate sufficient time outside of class to college work.
act in a civil manner that respects the college learning/social environment and complies with college policies outlined in the student constitution and college catalog.
utilize college resources and seek help when needed.
respect diverse ideas and opinions.
identify, develop, and implement a plan to achieve their educational goals.
Speech on 'My responsibility as a student' is given below:
Good Morning to all of you present here. I, Joseph, reading in class 7 of ABC School, stand here to deliver a speech on the topic 'My responsibility as a student'.
Everyone has certain responsibilities in their own lives. Being responsible and carefully doing all the tasks and accomplishing one's responsibility is a key factor in achieving success. Generally, students have the responsibility to focus on their studies and to acquire moral values and principles.
Some responsibilities that students should have is to do all their tasks like homeworks, studies, etc on time. Doing everything on time and being punctual should be followed by students to be a responsible person.
Alongwith education, acquiring such disciplined manners is also a responsibility of a student. The responsibility of students is also to obey elders and to respect their elders and parents.
I would like to conclude my speech by saying that a student who is responsible will surely acquire success in his or her life. So, let us all be responsible and do our works and studies sincerely. Thank You!
