Children have their own thought of what they want to do when they are older picking a career that they can learn from maybe they picked the right or the wrong career but they have an advantage too. That's learning. If they picked the wrong career they would want to change learn something better maybe face some hardships but then they would succeed. In such situations, parents get insecure for the career the child wants to pursue and then there is a lot of burden on the child.A parent should not make the child"s future but maybe guide and support them instead of making the decisions. The parents should show them a website of the college that the child wants to go to. Tell them about their experience in college and give them tips. Show them how the system works and to get used to it. Not to make the decision because if they do the child would not learn how to be responsible and take over his life because from age"s 1-16 the parent guides the child and now the child would be in charge of his life and use whatever he/she has learned from the parents in their lives. If the parent would make the child"s future then the child would grow older and then have children of their own. They would still follow whatever they learned from their parents and therefore imply it on their children so then making their child"s future would continue for generations and generations. I agree that maybe the parents should be a part but not just rule over their child's future and say if the child wants to be a doctor and the parents force the child to be an engineer. First that won't help the child because he has a mind set on being a doctor. Second the child would be stressed because the parents are pushing the child too much. It is okay for a parent to give suggestions but the career and the future is totally dependant on the child so he/she learns how to be independent and responsible. Another point is that the child needs to learn how to be independent by the parents setting the future for the child and the colleges the child wouldn't have a say in this decision and then the child would just do what the parents say. The child would still have dreams and want to fulfill them because they wanted to be someone better in their career. The decision that the parents make for the children might be too harsh and it would be hard for the children to cope up with the particular career the parents have planned or chosen for them, which will then lead to frustration and stress. Also at a particular age, a child comes to know where he/she stands they know what they can do and what they can"t.Parents should let the child have freedom over his/her career. In conclusion, parents making decisions for their children is a useful method of the way the parents want it. However parents should help their children instead of just pushing them to choose the career that the parents want the child to choose.

'Parent need to stop forcing on their dreams on the children'
I feel very frustrated and annoyed when my parents get never satisfied with my results and studies. They always wish more from my side. Though I work very hard and always try to improve myself they never appreciate me for my efforts. Their obsession with studies has kept me away from other co-curricular activities. I find no time to paint which is my hobby. As per my opinion, the parents should appreciate their child and allow him to think beyond the studies.
