Environment pollution is the mixing of harmful pollutants into the environment causing disturbance to the natural processes and cycles. Various types of environmental pollution are categorized as water pollution, air pollution, land pollution and noise pollution. Since last decade, there is a great increase in the level of pollution and scenario has become worse than earlier. It is the time to fight pollution and save our ecosystem from its effects.
Effects of Pollution
All the natural gases in the environment make their balance by reacting each other. Some of them are used as a food by the plants and trees like carbon dioxide. But, just imagine what will happen when there will be no plants and vegetation. Decreasing number of plants and trees causes less use of carbon dioxide which gets concentrated into the environment and in turn increases environmental temperature level leading to global warming which is the epicenter of problems.
How to Stop Pollution
Pollution has become a major challenge in the current time and needs to be checked now before it takes the face of a monster. We can definitely prevent pollution by the below given measures:
Planting More Trees
Reforestation or planting more trees is one of the best methods to fight pollution. The more we plant trees the more carbon dioxide and other harmful gases get absorbed from the environment making the air clean.
Reduce the Use of Vehicles
The less we use of vehicles the lesser the harmful smokes goes into the environment making the pollution level come down. Use of bicycles for short distance is a better option.
Proper Waste Disposal System
Proper waste disposal system will help to prevent the toxic elements of industries from going in to the environment and will help in making air and water clean. It will also save the aquatic animals in the river and oceans and help them flourish without any hazards.
Limited use of Fertilizers and Pesticides
Farmers should restrict the use of fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture and opt for bio- fertilizers and natural manure to improve the yield of crops. It will help in saving fertility of soil and also save ground water from getting contaminated.
Recycle and Reuse
Recycling is the best way to fight pollution. It helps to reduce littering of waste thus keeping our environment clean and safe from harmful products.
