Human beings are social animals and to live in the society it is necessary to conform to the rules and regulations as defined since centuries. But sometimes, one has to deviate from the orthodox set of rules so as to concentrate on one’s family and children.

This is very much true for the parents of school going children and children themselves since they are subjected to the ever-prying eyes of the people around and the society, thus resulting in the proverbial societal pressure.

This is one of the most awkward and embarrassing situations. Right from the neighbours, relatives, friends, colleagues at work place, in fact, everyone who knows the parents has a few selected questions for them. Like, how did your son do in the exams? What is the percentage, rank, division etc.? Why did he score so low? Didn’t you arrange for tutors, extra classes? We could have referred you to the best coaching institute if you would have asked, and so on.

This is really frustrating for parents since they are made to feel as if they have not taken the studies of their child seriously or compromised on the quality of coaching. Poor fellows are even told that their child might not make it to the next level with the marks scored. This fills them with a sense of insecurity thus leading to tension at home.

Here, the parents must realise that the most important thing in their life is their child. Hence, they must focus all their attention on him and do whatever they can to make sure that he does well according to his merit and potentials
